Billy Egbert Ahart passed away on March 3, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy & Perlene (Colson) Ahart. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Armstrong); son, Heath Vogt & his wife Noel; Belinda Shufelt & her husband Terry, and Patty Chalmers & her husband Morris; sister, Katherine Heathcock & her husband David; grandchildren, Justin, Colton, Bailey, Wyatt, Maggie, & Gracie; and a host of many other family & friends.
Billy was born on October 25, 1938 in Houston, Texas and resided in the Bellaire area for forty years. Billy & Betty Jo were happily married for 39 years and traveled all over the country together. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Nascar fan. Billy loved life and spending time with his family. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Grand Pa”. Billy was a successful wrecker business owner for over 25 years and was the past vice president of the Houston Wrecker Association. Known as a jack of all trades, Billy could do just about any task and, with Betty Jo, even built their lake house. His fond memories will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
A Funeral Service for Billy will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 1:00 pm in the Clayton Chapel. Pastor Larry Shine will be officiating.

Dearest Belinda, Terry and Family,
The Rogers send their most heartfelt condolences. It is always hard to lose a loved one, but know your father (grandfather) will never be forgotten, he lives in all of you! I know this from you Belinda. Your dad helped produce one HecK! of a firecracker whose heart is a big as the world.
May God’s Peace, Grace and Mercy be with your family in this time of bereavement and always!
