David Bruce McCally, age 70 of Pearland, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walton S. & Grace (White) McCally; and son, Scotty McCally. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Darrick McCally & his wife Kim; brother, Jim McCally & his wife Jan; and grandchildren, Lauren & Tara McCally.
David was born on March 3, 1940 in Three Rivers, Michigan. He resided in Lexington, Kentucky for most of his life before settling in Texas. David and Judy were married for 36 years and was retired from the Lexington Herald Leader. Spending time with his family was very important to him and he especially loved sharing activities with Lauren & Tara. David was a history buff, avid coin collector, and car enthusiast. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed his cats, Kim, Tara, and Lauren. During football season, he cheered the Cleveland Browns and Kentucky Wildcats. David’s fond memories will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
