He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ethel Freed. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Freed; sons, Bill Freed and wife, Alicia, Michael Freed and wife, Michelina; daughter, Tiffinie Teague and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Madeleine, Ross, Holly, Nicolas, Victoria; great grandson, Elijah and a host of other family and friends. Alan was a hard worker and excellent provider for his family. He worked for Boeing for more than 42 years. Alan loved the outdoors and enjoyed touring on his motorcycle, boating on Clear Lake, hiking throughout the mountains of Southern California and overnight trips to the Mojave Desert. His hobbies included geology, golfing (both playing and watching), and especially loved building his model train town of Marysville. Alan was affectionately known as the BBQ King by his family and was well known for sharing his delicious creations with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service for Alan will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Pastor David Tripp officiating.
