Alfred Choppa "Freddy" Hernandez's Obituary
Alfred “Freddy” Choppa Hernandez Jr. 70, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elia Hernandez; and son, Jay Bolin. Freddy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sharon Hernandez; son, Craig Bolin and wife, Kelly; brothers, Ricky Hernandez, Lonnie Hernandez and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Josh Fox and wife, Sarah, Justin Bolin, Logan Knox and Kadi Knox; great grandchild, Hunter Fox; and a host of other family and friends.
Freddy was strong in his faith and active in his church. He was a very kind man and believed strongly in helping others in need. Freddy assisted Sharon with their “Back to Basic Christian Childcare” business. For a time he also drove special need school buses for Pearland ISD. Freddy loved his family dearly and his grandson Josh was the “apple of his eye”. Many Sundays involved church and then going into Houston to have lunch with his mother. He looked forward to taking Josh and his friends camping and took great pride in sharing his love of bowling with him. Freddy loved bowling and competed in several leagues. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Freddy will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of Pearland, 2930 E. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Rev. W. Casey Jones officiating.
