The pain of losing you is immeasurable but I know you are at peace. Love you lil lady. Til we meet again.
Our Mother Our Love
You were the radiant, golden sunshine
that always brightened our hearts,
One of God's lovely blossoms,
and a priceless treasure gifted to us
your family--that from our love
shall 'never' part.
Ever giving, you bravely stood
with your face toward the wind
of life's adversities
and in your own sweet way,
Never let us give up,
but you taught us by your firm example
how to overcome, how to keep going,
how to win.
You had a special way about you Momma
A 'happy' countenance
that we already miss,
and we can remember trillions of times
when you lifted our spirits
and healed our wounded hearts
with the sound of your laughter,
a much needed hug, with a loving kiss.
You were the center of our family memories
of joy and tender care,
of fried chicken wings and Kraft's Dinner,
apple pies and Miss Muffets, shrimp and fish
from 95th Street,
Of care packages filled with all kinds of goodies,
Mr. Johnson and Jip, Miss Pearlina's and the
'saga of the smashed pop bottles'
travels over many miles and many waters,
music, fun and taking pictures, days without a care.
Dear, pretty little "Bodi", as some of your grands called you,
We wish that we could have told you more
Told you how much we appreciated
'all' that you did, for the many sacrifices that you made
to keep us going, to keep us ever growing
cementing our love for you true.
If 'ever' the depths of our affection you questioned,
''Immeasurable' attachment is all you would find,
And yes, we realize, thanks to you, Dear Momma,
that faith in God is what will move us forward
while soothing our sadness in losing you
And comforting our hearts and mind.
You were, for us, a 'darling' jewel,
a diamond from our God above,
So please, 'never' forget
how much you meant to us
our 'beloved' Momma and Grandmomma.
You ... were our 'cherished' Mother and Grandmother,
You ... were and are, our precious love.
Your Daughter,
Edie Antoinette
