View Tribute Book Ann Elizabeth Mercadel-Garcia, 54, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Mortenson. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 13 years, Mateo “Ted” Garcia; sons, Donovan Mercadel, William Mercadel and wife, Celeste, Nicolas Garcia; brother, Jerry Mortenson; grandchildren, Kyah Ann Elizabeth Mercadel, Samuel Oliver Harding; and a host of other family and dear friends.Ann was a kind hearted, respectful and gracious woman. She was a loving wife, mother, and “Grandma”, as she was known by her grandchildren. She loved her family very much. Ann was a great cook who would always make healthy meals for everyone and would prepare hot tea and cookies in the afternoons. She enjoyed summers at the beach and all types of music. Ann was always thinking about others. She was a generous soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.A visitation, rosary and service will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the rosary begins at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow.
