Beatriz Vargas Quevedo's Obituary
Beatriz Vargas Quevedo, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Victorio and Maria Quevedo; husband, Gonzalo Castro; two brothers and four sisters. Beatriz is survived by her son, Felix P. Castro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and a host of other family and friends.
Beatriz loved to cook and provide good meals to her family and friends. She cherished spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beatriz was very strong in her Catholic faith and was an inspiration to all those around her. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Visitation and Rosary for Beatriz will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:30 pm. A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00 am at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2426 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581 with Deacon David Bowman officiating.
