Becky Jane Martinez's Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” Jane Martinez, 59, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Joyce Yandell; and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ted Martinez; son Joey Machorro; daughters Lacy Chapman and husband, John, Amy Alvey; sister Kathy Hendley; five grandchildren in Texas, Christian, Jace, Easton, Ember, and Lana, and five grandchildren in Alabama.
Becky was born on November 14, 1962, in Ozark, Arkansas. She settled in the Houston area around 1970. Becky was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She and her husband, Ted, were together for twenty plus years. Becky loved her grandchildren dearly and they affectionately called her “Granny” or “Mom Becky”. She loved entertaining family and friends. Becky especially enjoyed family gatherings and holiday get togethers. She also loved going to the beach, taking mini vacations, shopping for her grandchildren, getting pedicures and gardening. Becky always wanted her house to be clean and well taken care of. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Forest. Becky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Becky will be held on Friday, February 25, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, with Chaplain Raymond Holder officiating.
