Betty Vogt Ahart's Obituary
Betty Jo Vogt Ahart, 82, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Claire Armstrong; and loving husband of 39 years, Billy Ahart. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Heath Vogt and wife, Noel; daughters, Belinda Shufelt and husband, Terry, Patty Chalmers; grandchildren, Justin, Colton, Bailey, Wyatt, Maggie and Gracie; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Betty loved her family and was truly the matriarch of the family. She loved NASCAR, traveling and Lone Star beer. Betty had a feisty, strong and tough personality but would help anyone she encountered in need. She was an excellent business owner and had her own successful way of doing things. Betty fought a strong and valiant battle with cancer and her determination was an inspiration to everyone. Her courageousness was a great example to all of how to live your life. Betty was affectionately known as “Grandma” and "G Ma” to her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Houston area Women’s Center.
A Memorial Service for Betty will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
