Betty and I were neighbors for 15 years--we each claimed the other was the BEST NEIGHBOR EVER! Sometimes we'd chat at our adjacent garage doors or when we ran into each other at the Fitness Center or for sure on our front lawns after the mail was delivered.
We would mostly talk about our families and how dear they were to our hearts. We also would chat about how lovely our trees look and the best bargains at Kroger. However, the conversation always circled back to children, grandchildren, siblings and dear friends. We hold onto places and moments with them--our loved ones.
I want Betty's family to know after 15 years of conversations---Betty loved to travel and dance, but she cherished you.
Sometimes Betty and I would swim at BayPoints pool. She is the only woman I know that swam with a kind of side stroke.
That's Betty: smart energetic, diligent to exercise AND capable of emerging from a pool with not a hair out of place ! Joan Geigel
