He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Etna Crawford; his son, Michal Edwin Crawford; grandson Shawn Michael Jones and great-grandson, Samuel Gordon Stack. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Eula Jane Crawford; daughters Deborah Oravetz, Rebecca Rodriguez; sons Joseph Crawford, David Crawford and wife, Margaret, Patrick James Crawford and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Erica Becka and husband, Brian, Kristen Stack and husband, Steven; great-grandchildren, Jude Nixon, Abigail Becka, Emma Becka, Hannah Stack, Ruby Stack and a host of other family members and dear friends. Billy was an excellent provider for his family and a devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church and he was strong in his faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. Billy loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and traveling the world. He was a loving father and grandfather that cherished spending time with his family. Billy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical for the Fisher House – Houston 2002 Holcombe Houston, TX 77030. Services for Billy will be held Friday March 22, 2019 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 at 10:00 AM. with the memorial service following at 1:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery (also known as Veterans Memorial Cemetery) 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas, 77038.
