Dugas passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11th in Pearland, TX with his family at his side.A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Helen’s Catholic Church on Old Alvin Road in Pearland, TX, on Thursday, January 18th at 10 am with a visitation with family at 9 am. Reverend Wayne Wilkerson will serve as celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. A private entombment, for family, will be in SouthPark Cemetery, also in Pearland.Born April 13, 1937, on Nellie Farm in Plattenville, LA, he spent the formative years of his life experiencing agriculture first hand. He attended St. Ann’s Catholic School and was an honor graduate of the Assumption High School, Class of 1955. He attended Southeastern Louisiana College on a four-year football scholarship, and graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Chemistry. Immediately following graduation, he started a 30-year career with Dow Chemical, Inc. by starting in the lab in Plaquemine, LA, for a short time and throughout his career had numerous Human Resources positions in Plaquemine, LA, Allen’s Point CT, and Midland, MI. When he retired, in 1990, he was Human Resources Manager in La Porte, TX.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Linda Dugas, his brother L.J. Dugas, and son Craig Dugas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Diane L. Dugas, sister-in-law, Joel Ann Dugas, daughter-in-law, Sonia Romero Dugas, Step-son, Richard Lauer and spouse Tiffany, daughters Sharon Mistretta, Lauren Pizzolato and Paula Burgess, and spouse Toni Burgess. He is also survived by his step-grandson, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
