Bonnie Jean Baum's Obituary
Bonnie Jean DeCapot Baum, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from natural causes. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Edwin Neilson DeCapot and Dorothy Evelyn Gadwah DeCapot, and brothers, David and Francis DeCapot. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jason Baum and wife, Rachelle; daughter, Stephanie Baum; sisters, Diane Anderson and husband, Ted, Beverly Hatch; grandchildren, Durrant Baum and wife, Hannah, Madsen Baum and wife, Ashlin, Morgan Lines and husband, Mattan, Afton Baum, Evelyn Baum, Stirling Baum, Alexis Baum, Nathaniel Baum; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Bonnie grew up in Massachusetts and received scholarships to attend Brigham Young University and later went to dental assistant school. Bonnie worked for many years as a dental assistant and later as an executive assistant. She was a wonderful provider for her family. Bonnie was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and encouraged her children to dedicate themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and to prepare themselves mentally, spiritually, and educationally for life. Her love and wisdom extended to her many grandchildren whom she loved as well. Bonnie was thrifty, intelligent, and wise; always extending a hand of support to others in need. She had many lifelong friends that she stayed in contact with through the years. Bonnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, with Elder’s Quorum President Miller McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
