Carl Wesley Holmgren's Obituary
Carl Wesley Holmgren, 58, died after a courageous battle with Melanoma Cancer on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Carl was born on April 10, 1958 in Muncie, Indiana to Sam and Melba Holmgren. He graduated from North Liberty High School in North Liberty, Indiana in 1976 and received an Engineering Degree from Purdue University in 1981. Employment brought Carl to the Houston area where he enjoyed a successful career with various companies including Houston Lighting & Power, Lubrizol, and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. Carl enjoyed playing tennis, traveling, and fishing with his granddaughter. Carl is survived by his wife, Beth Holmgren; Son - Shawn Holmgren; Step Daughter - Daniell Davis and her husband Bryan, Step Son - Wes Nottebart and his wife Ashton, Step Son - Sam Nottebart and his wife Sharzad, four grandchildren, parents Sam and Melba Holmgren, brother Mark Holmgren and his wife Karen, sister Dee Carmichael as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Sunday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m.
