Carol Charlene Wood's Obituary
Carol Charlene Wood, 55, of Pearland passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Left to cherish Charlene’s memory are her parents, Joe and Darlene Moore; her loving and devoted husband of 15 years, Donnie Wood; children, Kourtney Baca, Kapri Muschalek and husband, Jeremy, Trey Wood and significant other, Bethany McClain, and Sara Wood; brother, Joe Moore, Jr., and wife, Renae; sister, Mona Malone and husband, J.; grandchildren, Keilee Brandenburger, Wyatt Reedy, Zachary Sullins and Kolt Wood; nephews and nieces, Amber, Dylan, Whitney, Cody, Morgan, Colby, Carter, McKenna, Landen, Khane, Zhane and Wyatt as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Daycare was truly Charlene’s passion. She believed strongly in providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Charlene took her first classes in child development while still in high school. Her passion carried her throughout her life as she had Home Day Cares and two Day Care Centers. Charlene had a servant’s heart and loved helping others and bringing a smile to their faces. She loved shopping, traveling and the occasional gambling trip. Charlene’s world revolved around her granddaughter, Keilee and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Nana” to her family and many others. She was an amazing wife, mom and grandmother. Charlene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family has made a special request that everyone wear pink (her favorite color) to honor Charlene and celebrate her amazing life.
Services for Charlene will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 until 10:00 am with the funeral service following beginning at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Steve Griesmyer officiating. Graveside services have been set for 3:00 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas.
