View Tribute Book Carolyn Elisebeth Melton, 76, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bernice Bendel; and daughter, Tracy Kae Wood. Left to cherish her memory are her step-mother, Agnes Bendel; her loving husband, Robert R. Melton; daughters, Terri Lynn Garner and husband, Curtis, Kelly Rae Price and husband, Rory, Jodi Lea Harris and husband, Mike; step-sons, Robert Melton Jr. and son, Kale, Jay Melton and wife, Cindy and children Hanna and Bethany; brother, Raymond Bendel; grandchildren, Chad and wife, Stacey, Jordan, Lane and wife, Emily, Kailey, Clay, Mitchell, Megan, Madelynn; great granddaughter, Tessley; and a host of other family and dear friends. Carolyn was strong in her faith and truly had a servant’s heart. She was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church for many years. Carolyn’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s numerous events. She enjoyed gardening, picking berries, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, and anything that took her outside. Some of her fondest memories came from trips to New Braunfels with her family. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at www.gifts.mdanderson.org. A visitation gathering for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, from 6:00-8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11:00 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Jon Salminen officiating.
