View Tribute Book Celestina Martinez passed away on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, surrounded by the comforting presence of her family, at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin Avilez and Antonia Velazquez-Torrez; husband, Manuel Martinez; and sister, Carmen Rodriguez. Left to cherish Celestina’s memory are her sons, Carlos Martinez and Manuel Martinez; daughters, Veronica Herrera, Yolanda Ortiz, and Rocio Martinez; sister, Maria L Guardado; grandchildren, Carlos, Christian, Karla, Rosenda, Emanuel, Luis, Lynette, Daisy, Kimberly, Julien, and Isabella; great grandchildren, Riley, Leon, Luka, Vincent, Dylan, Nathan H, Xavior, Khloe, Jordan, Aaiden, and Nathan A; along with a host of many other family and friends.Celestina was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife. She enjoyed gardening, watching Foro, the news, old movies, and nature documentaries about exotic places, landmarks, and animals. Celestina was a film buff who loved old movie stars and was a huge fan of the Houston Astros. She couldn’t wait for the season to start. Celestina was also an animal lover, who adored anything and everything to do with animals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Celestina will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with the service commencing at 2:00 pm.
