Gary and I wanted to say how much we thought of Charles and also Sue. They were so wonderful to us when we first joined First Baptist Church in Grandview many years ago. You all have been blessed to have had him for so long. Please accept our condolences.
Charlie and my dad spent much of their life doing good things for the congregation of the Grandview Baptist Church. They both served as Deacons, Sunday School Superintendents and Trustees.
They also both were builders. It seemed to me, even though my dad was older than Charlie, they got along really well.
Charlie was one of the few people who continued to come visit our dad when a stroke put him in bed for over 7 years.
Charlie would help in whatever way he could, even when I called him with a plumbing problem!
Charlie was always smiling and cheerful and dressed to perfection!
He sent me a CD of his ukulele band a few years ago. He was having so much fun playing with the band. It was so nice to hear from him.
Our entire family loved Charlie. He will always have a special spot in our hearts. He will be missed.
Carol
God bless you Charlie! Sure will miss you, but will be looking for you on those streets of gold someday!
