Charles Milford "Chuck" McAnally's Obituary
Charles Milford (“Chuck”) McAnally was born January 20, 1939 in Abilene, Texas and entered eternal rest on October 6, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who loved life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Etta McAnally; son, Steven Ray McAnally, daughter, Tamara Ann Holbrook; and grandson, Michael Paul Deramo.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years, Jene; daughter, Valerie Deramo and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Samantha Deramo, Chris, David, and Michael Andersen; and great grandchildren, Aubrey, Levi, and Grace Andersen.
After graduating from Abilene High School, Chuck entered the U. S. Navy in 1957; he joined the submarine service in 1958. He met the love of his life, Jene, and they were married in 1960. Chuck retired from the U.S. Navy in 1976 and went to work for Diamond Shamrock which was taken over by Occidental Petroleum. He retired from there in 1998. He and Jene moved into Country Place, Pearland, Texas and started playing golf full time!
A memorial service for Chuck will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas.
For those wishing to attend, the burial service will be a week later on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Pancreas Foundation.
