Charles Conway "Chuck" Moffett's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Conway Moffett, 79, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nathinel and Vera Moffett; his wife of many years, Dottie Moffett; brother, Marvin Moffett; and sister, Clare Whisenhunt. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Moffett; sons, Robert Moffett, Randy Saylors and wife, Kim, Frank Cagle; daughters, Cindy Skibin-Flores and husband, Roger, Terri Sue Burns and husband, Terry; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Chuck was a hard worker and excellent provider for his family; working as a lineman for Dacon-Dashell for over 10 years before owning his own home security company. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Chuck was always a sharp dresser and loved to look and smell good. He loved traveling by car and seeing the country. Chuck had an amazing mechanical mind and could fix just about anything. He developed many friends over his life and his great friendship with Bill Wood spanned more than 50 years. He loved going fishing and playing golf with his family and friends. Chuck was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was affectionately known as “Papa” to all of his grandchildren who he cherished spending time with. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Chuck will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Daily officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
