Charles "CM" Marshall Wilkes

After a hard fought battle with leukemia, Charles M. Wilkes, 82, of Seabrook, Texas passed away peacefully from complications related to the cancer on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011. “CM”,as he was known by some, spent his last days at MD Anderson with his family and friends by his side. Charles was born on July 3rd, 1929. He called Seabrook his home for 73 years. He was retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Ray Wilkes and his daughter Susan Alene Wilkes-Henderson. He is survived by Wanda Wilkes, his wife of over 60 years, his brother, John Martin Wilkes, his son, Charles Michael Wilkes, daughters, Wynnona Jean Hearn and Margaret Dianne Little, grandsons, Christipher James Wilkes, Nathan Ray Henderson, great grandson, Bradley Allen Henderson and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren and dearest family friends, George, Becky and son, Kevin Rogers. Graveside Services for Charles will be held at Seabrook Cemetery on Friday, October 21st at 10:00 AM. In lieu of usual remembrances the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Charles to the Seabrook Cemetery Association; 1206 3rd St. Seabrook, Texas. 77586
