Chris Walter Bechtold's Obituary
Chris Walter Bechtold, 64, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gloria Bechtold. Chris is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Ludtke Bechtold; stepson, Bear Bay and wife, Kelly; sister, Francis Bechtold Stitt; grandchildren, Jerzie and Easton Bay; and a host of other family and friends.
Chris worked for more than 20 years for the City of Houston in the Information Technology Department. He was a professional photographer and owned a successful studio, Chris Walter Photography, for many years in the Humble area. Chris won numerous local and national awards for his photography and served as the Past President and Chairman of the Board of the Professional Photographer’s Guild of Houston. He loved children dearly and found great joy in seeing the excitement in kids’ eyes as he was a holiday Santa for the past 3 years. Chris found his greatest joy in being “Poppy” to his adorable grandchildren and getting to spend time with them. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Chris will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at Humble Methodist Church, 800 E. Main Street, Humble, Texas 77338.
