Christopher Dale Marler's Obituary
Christopher Dale Marler
November 02, 1954 - October 13, 2015
Chris Marler ended his battle with renal cancer Tuesday, 13 October, 2015. He was born in Houston on 02 November, 1954. He graduated from Deer Park High in 1972, and joined the US Navy a short time after. Chris is survived by his sweetie, Lori Marler, children Sean Marler, Jon Black, Becky Bollom, Andy and Christie Black, and grandsons Ythen Marler and Kieran Black, as well as “pseudo” sons and daughters too numerous to name. He found his niche in his working life when he became and Industrial Inspector. He loved little more than climbing up a huge, tall tower and making his way through it back down to the bottom. Chris’s family was of primary importance and he became a father figure to the many kids that joined our family in one way or another. He fulfilled that role so well and carried it into inspection, becoming teacher and mentor to many young inspectors. Chris was a somewhat larger than life figure who enjoyed life and recognized the importance of laughter. The family wishes to thank the Inspection Community and all of the wonderful friends who have been so incredibly helpful and supportive.
