With loving memories of "Curley Culp",
Dr. Bloom, we are thinking of you with deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences!
Prayers for the Culp family, friends and associates. Curley was a hardworking football, player.
Family & Friends: Honored to be a KCC teammate. Honored to speak of Curley fondly ever after. Forever a Chief & a Champion- he will be remembered.
Family & Friends: I was a 10th-round draft pick in 1974- the day the veterans came to training camp was momentous, and Marvin Upshaw introduced me to Curley on the field in Liberty. Of course, his reputation preceded him: Super Bowl Champ and NCAA Wrestling champion. It was an honor to be his teammate and to speak of him fondly ever after. My sister-in-law Laurie Franklin mentioned this holiday the sign she made as a girl to greet Curley at Municipal Airport during the Super Bowl run...her husband Darrell Franklin then noted how Chris Schenkel always mentioned the wrestling honors Curley achieved. From the gridiron, to the broadcast booth, to the All-Pro record books, the Hall of Fame, and to thousands of anonymous fans, Curley Culp made his mark. With all respect due Curley and his family, Rest In Peace. Tom Condon
