Cynthia Gail Broussard's Obituary
Cynthia “Cindy” Gail Broussard passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the age of 69. She is preceded in death by her mother, Roberta (Scott) Stapleton; and her sisters, Sharon Badeaux and Kathy Parchman. Left to cherish Cindy’s memory are her father, William Stapleton; husband, Rick Broussard; daughters, Dorothy Jimenez and husband Hermes, Jaime Broussard, and Laura Broussard; grandchildren, Brianna, Julia, and Max; and a host of many other family and friends.
Cindy's was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a deep love for the threads that connected her life, both literal and figurative. Spending countless hours piecing together cross-stitched pieces for loved ones and collecting quilts brought her much joy. This extended to tracing the branches of her family tree, finding joy in preserving the stories and traditions that made her family whole. Never far or without her nose in a book, she was a wonderful storyteller herself. Some of her best tales were shared on late night road trips and she favored the delightfully spooky. Her faith was a cornerstone of Cindy's life and she carried herself with scripture in her heart. But more than any hobby or pastime, it was her family that filled her heart. The time she spent with those she loved was what she treasured most, and that love was returned in abundance. Her absence leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
