Daniel Orlando Mendez Sr.'s Obituary
Daniel Orlando Mendez Sr. passed away in Pasadena, Texas, on Friday, November 21st, 2025, at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his father, Valentin Mendez (Graciela) and his wife, Eva Mendez. Left to cherish Daniel’s memory are his mother, Graciela Mendez (the late Valentin); sons, Daniel Mendez Jr. and Michael Mendez (Yajaira); daughters, Christina Ellis (Samantha), and Victoria Mendez; siblings, Arnold Mendez (Jodi), and Gracie Anne Mendez; and a host of many other family and friends.
Daniel was a wonderful husband, father, and provider for his family. He was a hard-working mechanic for many years and had a wealth of knowledge about cars and aircraft. Music was important to Daniel, having played in the band at school and attended many concerts throughout his life, as well as cruising around Corpus Christi with his family listening to music for hours. Daniel made many great memories with his family going fishing, barbecuing, or telling his children stories from his life. He enjoyed putting up Christmas lights and decorating the house for Christmas each year. Above all else, Daniel loved his family and his pets. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Daniel will be held at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home’s chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Saturday, December 13th, 2025. His family will receive guests during a visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, with a service commencing at 1:00 pm.
