He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Esther Torrence II; and his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Sue Torrence. Daniel is survived by his son Trace Torrence and wife, Amanda; daughter, Mandy Hissey and husband, Charles; sister, Linda Denmark; grandchildren, Aidan Torrence, Conner Torrence, Payton Hissey, and Madeline Torrence; and a host of other family and friends.Daniel was a loving and devoted father. He worked in the steel business his entire life as a civil engineer. Daniel was the head engineer on the Orlando Magic first arena. He had a mechanical mind and could make or fix anything. Daniel especially loved working with wood and made various pieces of furniture. He had a passion for caring for others and enjoyed grocery shopping for snacks and sharing them with everyone. Daniel will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.A graveside service for Daniel will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:30 am at Conroe Memorial Park, 1600 Porter Road, Conroe, TX 77301.
