He is preceded in death by his father Delmar Harmon. Left to honor his memory are his mother, Sue Harmon; loving wife of 46 years,Kathleen Harmon; daughter Allynn Harmon and husband, Travis; son David Harmon and wife, Meaghan; daughter Christine Chittenden and husband, Brad; brothers Alan Harmon and wife, Jeanine, Rick Harmon and wife, Raquel, Stuart Harmon and wife, Michele; sisters Jan Parsons and husband, Gerald, Beth Holmgren; grandchildren Gabriel, David, Cherish, Jonathan, Esmé, and many other family and friends. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was adventurous, independent and strong-willed. In his younger years he was an avid fencer and tennis player. Throughout his life he loved camping, sailing and fishing. Dave was a Civil War and history buff. In his spare time, he enjoyed a rousing game of backgammon or chess and cheering on his teams, the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He spoiled his family with fancy and experimental home-cooked meals. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in David's memory to the charity of your choice. A memorial service for Dave will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Dave and Kathy’s home after the service.
