Delpha Dea Whitlow's Obituary
Delpha “Dea” Sample Whitlow, 78, passed away May 14, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Lionel and Sidney Sample; husband Kelley Whitlow; son Ronald Keith Whitlow; brother Leo Sample; and sister Sandra Sample. Left to cherish Dea’s memory are her son Kenneth Allen Whitlow and wife Dora; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and her beloved dog “Snickers”.
Dea was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished her family. She was married to the love of her life, Kelley for 38 wonderful years, until his passing in 2017. Dea’s family was her passion and taking care of her husband was always her number one priority. She also had many long-time friends she adored. Dea loved spending time outdoors, she especially loved butterflies and going on cruises. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books. Dea enjoyed cooking for her family, she always looked forward to, and loved, family gatherings and holidays. Dea will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Dea will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. The memorial service will follow at 6:30 pm, with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
