Betty (Spadaccia) Hoy
Dennis was and will remain one of my favorite people in the world, and is the man I jokingly (and honestly) always refer to as my "favorite ex-husband." My girls were 4 and 6 when he and I got together, and he raised those girls like his own, sharing with them his love of fishing, boating, acting crazy just to have fun, the love of dogs, and so many other things. It's impossible to adequately verbalize all the significant contributions he's made to everyone he ever met, through friendship or helping them in their careers, or just making someone smile when they needed it most. Over the years, we'd catch up by phone every once in a while, and I'm really going to miss those chats. It's difficult to think there won't be any more of those moments to share. I'm going to miss you more than you know, Dennis, and I know how difficult it will be for Cheryl and Dominick to adapt to life without you. Prayers of comfort and strength to Cheryl and Nick for the weeks and months ahead. And Dennis - here's hoping you've ended up with a nice bass boat and a great fishing lake up there. Love and hugs to you until we meet again.
