View Tribute Book Diana Jean Alves Symon, also known as Dr. Diana Alves, M.D., age 85, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023. She was born January 12, 1938, in New Braunfels, TX.Diana devoted her life to raising her children and was a long-time physician in Friendswood, TX. She was Grandma Diana to twelve grandchildren and Great-Grandma to nine great-grandchildren. She was also Aunt Diana to three nieces and Great Aunt to eight nieces and nephews. Diana was an avid hunter, golfer, and birdwatcher. She loved the opera, collecting Native American Art and watching football, especially The Texas Longhorns football team.Diana graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Medicine in 1965. In 1967, she joined Friendswood Medical Arts Clinic with her husband where she practiced medicine until her retirement in 2021.She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Symon and James Symon, and her sister Karen Batchelor. She is Preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joseph J. Symon, M.D., her daughters Jennifer Symon Parrish and Julia Symon Kantz, brother-in-law William ''Bill'' Batchelor, and her parents Harry and Elsie Alves.Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday January 20, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Clayton Funeral Home, 5330 W.
