Dick Duncan's Obituary
Francis Richard “Dick” Duncan was born on March 2, 1923, and died peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the age of 83. Dick attended Sam Houston High School and graduated from the University of Houston in 1949. He served proudly in the Marines from 1942 to 1946. He devoted the rest of his life as a kind and honorable man to his wife and family and was a wonderful father, coach and mentor.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Duncan; son Richard and wife Marie; son, Stephen and wife Kathryn; daughter Patty Duran and husband Tony; daughter Cathie Wright; grandchildren Shaun, Tamara, April and husband Thomas, Ryan, Emory, and two great grandchildren Hailey and Rebekah. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2006, from 6.00 to 8:00 p.m. with a vigil being offered at 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Ave, in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to a charitable organization of one’s choice.
