View Tribute Book Donald Ray Lawson passed away on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Anne (Davis) Lawson; brothers, Jack and Bill Lawson; and sister, Annabeth LeMaster. Donald is survived by his wife, Gladys (De La Cruz) Lawson; daughters, Karen Martin, Carol Ritter and husband Roger, and Melanie Lawson; grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Cole, and Grant; great grandchildren, Jack and Sarah; and a host of many other family and friends.Donald was a loving husband and father who proudly served in the United States Army as first a medic in Vietnam, and then as a Physician’s Assistant for the remaining part of his career. He had a true passion for medicine and helping those in need. Donald was also passionate about spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed going on cruises, taking trips to Las Vegas with Gladys, attending Astros games, and target shooting. Donald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Donald’s family will receive guests during a visitation on Monday, July 21st, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. The following day, Tuesday, July 22nd, Donald will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Graveside committal services will commence at 11:30 am.
