Donald Marion Powell III's Obituary
Donald Marion Powell October 13, 1944 - May 12, 2022. Donald Powell, 77, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Aletha and Douglass Wilson; and brothers, Ricky Powell and Ronnie Powell. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tammie Powell; sister Diane Smith; nephew Michael T Smith; grandchildren Michael and Casey; great grandchild Shawne, and a host of other family and friends.
Donald was known as a hardworking man, who cared for his family. He loved to study the civil war and the affects it had on our country. In his spare time, Donald loved to go on cruises, and play Texas Hold'em. He loved nature and loved being outdoors. Deer hunting was one of his favorite activities. Donald will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 17 from 1-3:00 pm, at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel in LaPorte, Texas.
