October 25, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father Willis Cates; mother Sarah Ames Cates; and sisters Sandra Timpson, and Marla Cates. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles Edwards; son John Edwards; daughters Elaine Baker, Elizabeth Foster and husband, Bryan; grandchildren Ashley Miller, Ian Foster, Zachary Foster, and many other family and friends.Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with them. She had a successful career as a schoolteacher with Pasadena ISD. Donna was dedicated to her job and students. She was an avid reader and loved cooking for her family. In her spare time Donna enjoyed collecting glass and antiques. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Houston and Pasadena Rodeos. Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Services for Donna will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from noon to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Rex Forsyth officiating.
