View Tribute Book Donney Joseph Hrbacek, 55, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Srubar Hrbacek. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Emil Hrbacek; brothers, David Hrbacek and wife, Beth, Dennis Hrbacek and wife, Lita, Dean Hrbacek and wife, Jenny; nieces and nephews, Jayme, Bradley, Byron, John and Amanda Hrbacek; and a host of other family and dear friends.Donney graduated from Pearland High School and went on to be a Master Electrician. He was a member of the local union, IBEW 716. Strong in his faith, he was a heavily involved member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church and an active part of the Knights of Columbus. Donney sliced the barbeque at the church bazaar every single year and enjoyed coaching girls’ softball. Even through his own medical issues, he showed great courage and was always thinking of others. Donney was a man of his word, loyal and committed to his friends and family. He always went out of his way to make sure his father made it to church. If someone needed money or just needed his time, Donney did not hesitate to give it to them. He was a giving man who always put others before himself and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.A visitation and rosary for Donney will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm with the rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father Jim Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at SouthPark, Pearland, Texas.
