View Tribute Book Dora Rogers Richardson, 87, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rita Rogers; husband, Jimmie Richardson; and brother, Joseph Paul Rodgers. Dora is survived by her devoted sons, Jimmie Richardson and wife, Vanessa (Cole) Richardson, Zachary M. Richardson; and a host of other family and dear friends. Education was an extremely important part of Dora’s life. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern University and completed her Master’s in Education from Nicholls State University. Dora was an educator in the Orleans Parish School system for many years. She was the recipient of numerous Proclamations from the City of New Orleans. She was an avid member of the Mercy Endeavors Senior Center in New Orleans. Dora relocated to Pearland Texas where she became an active resident of the Country Place community. She will be greatly missed by all who learned from, knew and loved her. Services for Dora will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A visitation will take place from 10:00 until 11:00 am with a Rosary recited at 10:30. Following the Rosary, beginning at 11:00 a funeral service will be held with Father Jim Courville officiating
