Dorothy Ruth Fincher, 79, passed away on March 9, 2011. Born in Elmira, New York on September 17, 1931, she is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Ruth Allen; her husband of 54 years, Newton Fincher; and brother, Don All Read Obituary

Bill – We were so sorry to hear about your Mom; you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Both Dave and I know what you are going through. Also, I didn’t know about your Dad (I’ve been out of the country); so I want to express my condolences for that loss as well. I will always remember your parents’ hospitality in in being “the venue and chef” for the annual Gulf Pipeline Company picnic, and how much your parents enjoyed hosting this event. I have (and will always have) fond memories of all the wonderful conversations at those picnics, and the many golfing stories about Dorothy and Newt. May God keep you in peace.

Cindy and were sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed our visit at Mr Hammon’s party a while back. Take comfort for she is now “In HIS GRIP”.
We are so sorry to lose Dorothy. She was the sweetest person, and we already miss seeing her around the course. She and Newt were two of our favorite people. We are so sorry for your loss.
