Duane Eldon Gaidosek's Obituary
Duane “Buzzy” Gaidosek, 87, went peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of November 11, 2025. Buzzy, as everyone called him, was born to John Gajdosik(1907-1945) and Mamie Watson (1913-2010) on November 5, 1938 in Needville, TX.
Buzzy is survived by his sister Sandra Jones; brothers Larry Gaidosek, Tom Bowers and Robert Bowers; children William (Brenda) Gaidosek and Charlene (Rodger) Wiseman; grandchildren Alanna (Jacob) Williams, Derek Gaidosek, Devin Gaidosek, Justin (Chelsea) Wiseman, Allie (Luke) Wiseman-Waite and Abbey (Rickie) Johnstone; great grandchildren Bo Wiseman and Madden Williams. He also is survived by stepsons Rocky (Linda) Marshall and Douglas (Bonita) Magby; grandkids Sarah Marshall, Michael Washburn, Dana Magby, Ben (Anna) Magby, Evelyn (Jacob) Dilworth, Alex (Valeria) Magby, Chris (Mikaela) Magby and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents John (1945) and Mamie (2010); sister Marilyn Magglito (2012); his wife of many years Bobbi Gaidosek (2017); stepsons Michael Smith (2010) and Dusty Magby (2019).
Buzzy grew up and attended school in Pearland, TX. He joined the U.S. Army from 1963-1969 during the Vietnam Era. In this time, he earned recognition for Expert Rifle, Expert 81 MM Mortar and a Good Conduct Medal. After the Army, he came back to Pearland, TX and worked for Houston Pipeline for a few years. In the early to mid-1980’s he and wife Bobbi moved to Wascom, TX and then on to West Monroe, LA where he stayed until 2018, in which he moved to Alvin, TX.
A burial service will be scheduled for early December in Rosenberg, TX.
