View Tribute Book When the sun rose on August 28, 1946, in Cottonport, Louisiana, God blessedproud and loving parents, Edward Bush and Nettie Bush with a handsomebaby boy. They lovingly named their precious gift Edward Bush, Jr., and he was theoldest child of two. With the blessing of being raised in a loving, God-fearing home, at an early ageEdward studied under the Catholic faith. Later, he rededicated his life and becameone with God for the remainder of his days on Earth. Edward graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1965. Afterwards, heenlisted in the United States Army, diligently serving two tours of duty in theVietnam War. Not only did he receive an Honorable Discharge and was a RetiredVeteran, but was awarded and received a Purple Heart for his bravery anddedication to his country and fellow man. Edward united in marriage to the love of his life, Carolina, whom he lovingly referredto as “Tweety”. They shared an amazing seventeen (17) years of bliss as husbandand wife, loved each other as God would have it, and kept their promise in life anduntil his last breath. Edward was a selfless, loving and caring man. He always gave of himself to otherswho were in need, without any thought or hesitation. We will remember him as afamily man who enjoyed life, loved music and having a good time with family andfriends. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather.He will be sadly missed from our daily lives, but he will live in our hearts forever. Edward’s destiny here on Earth has been fulfilled. God, in His infinite wisdom, calledhim home into His loving grace on September 7, 2019. He was preceded in deathby his parents, Edward Bush and Nettie Bush; and his sister, Alice R. Miller. He leaves everlasting memories with his devoted and loving wife, Carolina Bush;sons, Kevin Bush and Sean Hardy; daughters, Toni Lynn Bush Fitch (Joe), IngridParker, Kimberly Hardy, Seantille Wiley (Reginald) and Takisha Poole; brother,Edward Bush; sisters, Dorothy Como (Henry), Barbara Jones (Kenneth), JacquelineBush, Wanda Jones (Stanley) and Lovie Austin; fifteen grandchildren and thirteengreat grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relativesand friends.
