Bob was a devoted and proud veteran that served his country in the United States Navy. He attributed much of his success and direction in life to the years he spent as a machinist working on naval ships. Bob met the love of his life, Nelda while in the Navy and was smitten from the first moment he saw her. He often confessed that she was responsible for saving him both spiritually and emotionally and making him a better person. Family was extremely important to Bob and they were in forefront of every decision he made. He was an excellent provider for his family and always felt the need to better himself and his situations through education. Bob loved the Lord and made sure to instill in his children and grandchildren a truly servant’s heart when it came to helping others in need. It was his leadership and guidance through example that allowed him to serve his church, his family and community. Every year, Bob found great joy in putting on the Santa suit and entertaining children of all ages. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
