Elisa Ybarra's Obituary
Elisa Ybarra, 63 of Pearland, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Santiago and Estella Cuellar. She is survived by her husband, Ramiro Ybarra; son, Daniel Morales, Jr. and wife Jenny; daughters, Miriam Doyle and husband, Kevin, Mirielle Chapa and husband Oscar, Michelle Ochoa and husband, Jonathon; stepson, Roland Ybarra and wife Nicole; brothers, Eddie Morales and Joe Morales; sisters, Teresa Laurel, Mirin Solis, Minnie Medina and Elma Cuellar; grandchildren, April Domec, Alyssa Rojas, Ethan Daniel Morales, Justin Lee Cruz, Isabella Ochoa, Nicholas Chapa, Alex Chapa, Andrew Chapa, Oscar Chapa, Nicholas Ybarra and Roland Ybarra, great grandchild Alani Johnson; and a host of many other family and friends.
Elisa was a loving person who was always happy. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Elisa loved singing, dancing and gardening. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Elisa enjoyed window shopping and looking for antiques. She especially enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing in Port Aransas and Corpus Christi. Elisa and Ray cherished their time together and he called her his “Angel”. She was affectionately known to her grandkids as “Wella” (grandmother) and to her coworkers as “Wera,” (white girl). Elisa and all of her friends at work had a very close relationship and they were like a second family to her. She loved her job and was very dedicated to her work. Elisa will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation for Elisa will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The funeral service will be Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 at 10:30 am at Clayton Funeral Home with interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas, http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/houston.asp
