She is preceded in death by her parents, Reyes and Eva Uresti; and brother, Benny Uresti. Esther is survived by her brother, Rey Uresti and wife, Becky; sisters, Mary Garza and husband, Cesar, Estella Uresti, Rosie Uresti-McCance, Yolanda Gardner and husband, Randy; nephews and nieces, Erik and Derek Uresti, Jennifer Perez, John Garza, Niccole McCance, Melissa Juren, Benjamin and Merik Gardner; and a host of other family and dear friends. Esther was the epitome of a people person with her amazing attitude and outgoing personality. She grew up in Pearland and graduated from Pearland High School in 1971. Esther worked for over 10 years as a cashier at Walgreens and developed a special bond with many of the customers throughout the years. She loved music and was especially fond of listening to and dancing to Tejano music any chance she got. Esther greatest joy however, came from spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved babysitting, taking care of and watching them as they grew up. Esther will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service for Esther will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Rex Forsyth officiating.
