Ethan Cole Reed's Obituary
Ethan Cole Reed, age 34, of La Porte, Texas, was called home to be with his Lord on August 21, 2021, at 5:48pm.
Ethan was born on April 30, 1987, in Du Quoin, Illinois; son of Robert Reed and Julie Diane Baggott (Heape). He graduated from Du Quoin High School in Illinois in 2005. He was a member of Tamaroa First Baptist Church, Tamaroa, IL.
Ethan had a huge heart and was loved by so many. He enjoyed collecting guns and knives, driving bulldozers, barbecuing, cold beer with great friends, his dog Abby, and most importantly being a husband and dada! He was a fighter for what he believed in, a passionate Patriots, and a lover of his family and friends.
Ethan is survived by his wife Brittany Reed (Blevins) of La Porte, Tx, married on September 19, 2016, and their son, Gauge Reed. Ethan is survived by his father Robert Reed and step mother Carol Reed of Highlands, Tx; step father Reverend Raymond Baggott of Du Quoin, IL; sister Bethany Reed-Edwards (husband Josh and children Addalye, Tyler, Sera, Josalyn) of Springfield, IL; step sister Paige Williams of Highlands, Tx; step brother Preston Williams of Highlands, Tx; step brother Ray Baggott Jr (wife Lori and child Sarina Lyerla) of Du Quoin, IL; step sister Regina Baggott (daughter Sarah and son Richard) of Carbondale, IL; Grandmother Norma Heape of Tamaroa, IL; Grandmother Marilyn Rich of Shattuc, IL; Mamaw Sharron Baker and James Frye. Ethan is also survived by an amazing extended family.
Ethan was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Diane Baggott, Grandfather Albert Dale Heape, Grandfather Byrd Rich, nephew Albert Louis Edwards to Bethany and Josh Edwards, step nephew Alex Baggott to Ray Jr and Lori Baggott; and step sister Rebecca Johnson.
