Eva Mendez's Obituary
Eva Torres Mendez passed away in Pearland, Texas, on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at the age of 58. She was preceded in death by her parents, David G. Torres Sr. and Maria Concepcion Torres, and brother, Arturo Torres. Eva leaves behind her loving husband, Daniel Mendez Sr.; sons, Daniel Mendez Jr. and Michael Mendez (Yajaira); daughters, Christina Ellis (Samantha), and Victoria Mendez; siblings, David Torres Jr. (the late Azucena), Lupita Torres (the late Agustin) Ortega, Daniel Torres, Victor Torres (Yvonne), Leonel Torres (Isabel), and David G. Torres Jr.; along with a host of many other family and friends.
Eva was a strong and resilient woman who loved her family and pets dearly. She was a genuine, kind, caring, and compassionate person who always put others before herself. Eva was especially proud of her family and their many accomplishments. She loved to gather with them for holidays, special occasions, or to enjoy Mexican food together.
Eva enjoyed traveling to new places, learning new languages, and experiencing new cultures. Listening to music brought Eva much joy throughout her life, along with taking walks, crocheting, and cheering for her favorite football teams, the Dallas Cowboys, University of Texas Longhorns, and Texas A&M Aggies. Eva also enjoyed playing board games and watching TV shows with the family, including the Golden Girls, Three’s Company, and Supermarket Sweep. When she was feeling creative, Eva loved to draw and journal in her free time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
