While I did not know Evelyn, reading about her life well lived and knowing who her son John Parker turned out to be, I believe she was a beautiful soul in this world. My condolences to the family, may her memory forever live on in your hearts.

Q: How would you describe Evelyn to someone who had never met them?
A: I never knew Evelyn personally, but I felt I knew her well through her son, John Parker, b/c he ALWAYS spoke about his mom. I've come to know MANY of the family stories throughout the years, & b/c of those stories, I grew to know the strong woman inside of Evelyn & that she loved her family UNCONDITIONALLY, which is a VERY rare & special kind of love.
I know how dearly John loved his mom, how loyal he was to her, & how much he did for her. I feel his loss since Evelyn's passing ... as I know the loss of a parent. I pray for the entire family throughout this grieving process.
Evelyn, I know you have found peace in your walk w/God, inside the pearly gates, & your new resting place in Heaven.

Dear Joanna, Michael, David, Johnny, Brenda and Suzanne,
My family and I loved Aunt Evelyn very much. As is true with everyone she knew, she always cared about what was going on in our lives and never forgot our birthdays or anniversaries. I never heard her say anything negative about anyone. I could write many pages about the good things I learned from her throughout my life.
She loved and supported you all, which is obvious, as her goodness is seen in you, the grandchildren and the great grandchildren.
We are very sorry for your loss. We know she will be deeply missed.
It is comforting to always know that she will be greatly rewarded in Heaven.
