I am with all of you today in spirit as we mourn the passing of dear Uncle Fred. My deepest condolences to each of you.
I feel sadness, but he also brings a smile to my face because of all the happy times we shared with him and the family throughout the years. I am very fortunate that I had the opportunity to know this great man. He often remarked how I had helped him during the sad and untimely passing of Aunt Gloria while I was visiting them in the South of France. We helped each other as best as we could during this difficult time, but ever since then we shared a stronger family bond. I think of Billy too because he and Uncle Fred enjoyed each other's company and loved each other very much. They're probably already talking up a storm about football, baseball and related controversial topics.
Thank you Uncle Fred for all the great memories. I will cherish them always. Rest in peace.

I am so happy that Uncle Fred got in one more adventure last year – even through there were some rocky road issues. We were all so sure that Fred and Ginger wouldn’t make it past the initial cruise part of their trip. But despite all the trans-Atlantic nay saying emails and against all odds, Uncle Fred’s determination prevailed. They got to Spain and had a good visit and returned home safely, albeit bruised. But Uncle Fred would never admit that he might have bit off more than he could chew. He reported to me that he definitely felt this was a highly successful adventure, although he was very sorry they had “cut the trip short and skipped the England visit.” So incredibly “Uncle Fred!!!”
I also feel fortunate that Valerie, Willa, Rosie and I could spend some time with Uncle Fred in Texas in June at Claire’s 2nd wedding party. We had a fun visit and dinner out, even toured his condo – which he loved. It is always tragic to lose dear family members for those left behind, but we should celebrate this life that was so full, so productive, filled with family and great memories. Uncle Fred, Aunt Gloria (Rose Red), Aunt Gloria (Snow White) Johnnie and Billy will be in our hearts forever and we will all meet again.
