Fidencio Ruiz Jr.'s Obituary
Fidencio Ruiz Jr., 77, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Fidencio Ruiz Sr., mother Maria Salinas Ruiz, sister Lupe Rodriguez, sister Angie Garcia Lopez and his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Saenz Ruiz. Left to cherish Fidencio’s memory are his daughters Selina Broussard and husband Chris, Marina Richard and husband Randy, Alicia Caballero and husband Henry, Vanessa Cabrales and husband Drew; brothers, Joe Louis Ruiz, Ray Ruiz and wife Rosie; sisters, Mona DelaGarza, Mary Escalante, Tina Rodriguez, Stella Nava; grandchildren, C-man, Rachal, Ryan, Brandon, Erin, Celi, Kevin, Dez, Madison, Andrew; 11 great grandchildren, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Fidencio was an extremely hard worker and wonderful provider for his family. He had a successful career with Exxon, where he retired from with over 30 years of service. Fidencio was blessed to have traveled all over the world with his wife Rose. Following his retirement, Fidencio enjoyed volunteering at the school as well as the Senior Citizens Center. He truly had a servant’s heart and was always doing what he could for others. In his spare time Fidencio loved working in his yard, he especially enjoyed growing beautiful plumerias and roses. Fidencio also enjoyed baking and cooking. If he had a recipe, he could make anything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation and Rosary will be held for Fidencio on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 8:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 10:00 am, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, in Pearland, Texas, with Father Jose Alonso officiating.
