View Tribute Book Florance Marie Chapman, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Windsong Care Center in Pearland, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leafreay and Estelle Landry; siblings, LJ, Marie Vidrine, Rosamae Vidrine, Eli Hulen, and Cora LeBleu. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Edward Ray Chapman; children, Mark, Phillip (Susan), Dwayne, Charlotte, Sharon (Ralph) and Mary (Michael); brothers, Wilson and Claude; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.Florance was born in Woodlawn, Louisiana and graduated from Lacassine High School in 1955. She worked for many years in retail stores throughout her career as well as a loving caregiver of many others. Florance was strong in her faith and a charter member of St. Helen Catholic Church since 1967. She believed strongly in giving back and volunteered countless hours at the church in many capacities. Florance loved sewing, cooking and making hand crafts. She will forever be remembered for her deep-rooted sense of family, her incredible faith and her unconditional love for everyone. Florance will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Visitation and Rosary Services for Florance will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place Friday, November 8, 2019 at 12:00 pm at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father Jim Courville officiating. Interment will follow the services at SouthPark Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
