Frank N. Green's Obituary
Frank Green, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Petrona Green, and daughter Francisca Levy. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elvia Maria Green; daughters, Nuvia Green, Ana Levy, Yvette Sherrif and husband Alieu; six brothers; two sisters; Grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brittney, Briana, Gavin, Elisse and Xander; along with a host of many other family and friends.
Frank was born in Panama where he often enjoyed celebrating Carnival or (Carnavales) time. There he went to college to study to be an electrician in the late 1950s. In 1961 he married Eliva Maria Green and 2 daughters Nuvia and Francisca. In 1963 he came to the United States to work in Yonkers New York as an electrician for Local 3. In 1964 he was rejoined with his family and settled in Brooklyn New York where he continued to work as an electrician and had their third daughter Ana. In 1972 they moved to Houston Texas where he worked for Local 716 international Brotherhood of America and retired after 26 years. During that time, he had his fourth daughter Yvette.
Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was the true definition of
a man. He raised his 4 daughters to be strong, independent, intelligent, and resourceful. He taught them to enjoy knowledge, nature, and life.
Frank was a lover of many things like watching westerns, talking on his CB radio with people from all around the world, sports, playing dominos & spades, politics, history, talking to his grandkids, drinking Modelo beer, talking about all things electric and many genres of music. Frank was the life of the party and always had a good time. He had a smile that would light up the room and a wit that would always make you laugh. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
